Iraq shows his map of investment through the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development

Baghdad: JD Department of Commerce announced in a statement broadcast
by Information Office of the Deputy Minister Walid al-Habib al-Musawi
delegation was led by the Iraqi Technical Co in the activities of the UN
Conference on Trade and Development (Alanoctad) thirteenth, which is
currently being held in the Qatari capital Doha for the period from 21
to 26 of this month.
The delegation includes representatives from the Ministries of
Foreign Affairs, Finance and Industry and Minerals as well as a
representative of the Central Bank and National Investment Commission as
well as private sector representatives from the Federation of Chambers
of Commerce and the Federation of Iraqi Industries.
The statement said the conference witnessed several economic
activities on the sidelines of the conference, including the World
Investment Forum and the Forum a special trade in services and the other
the role of women in development.
The statement emphasized that the Conference Alanoctad will discuss
the fundamental issues affecting the reality of developed and developing
countries alike, especially those put forward by the Secretary-General
of the Anoctad in the draft negotiating text, which focused on four key
points related to improving the economic environment and the promotion
of investment, trade and project-based initiative and address the
challenges of development as well as intensify all forms of cooperation
for trade and development.
The statement disclosed that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of
Commerce and Walid Habib Moussawi, head of the Iraqi delegation will
deliver a speech at the conference included several topics, including
Iraq’s position on the issues raised, particularly in the negotiating
text, which supports the activating role of developing countries in the
formulation of the new economic order, which aims to find the
globalization in the service of sustainable development and
comprehensive as well as the call to take advantage of investment
opportunities in Iraq being one of the rich and the riches of its human
resources.
It is worth mentioning that Iraq is a founding member of the UN
Conference on Trade and Development (Alanoctad) as a principal organ of
the General Assembly of the United Nations on issues of trade and
development, which was set up in 1964.
